Autism – Early Bird Courses for parents with a newly diagnosed child

Early Bird courses are offered across the county, approximately six times per year, depending on demand. Courses begin when there are a sufficient number of potential families with a maximum of six families attending.

Early Bird Plus maybe offered to families with a child approaching school age or in school.  This is discussed and agreed with individual families as it arises.

Parents are usually referred to courses via Early Support or the CDC team.

Early Bird courses are run with an Early Years specialist teacher and a health professional such as a specialist speech and language therapist.

Parents who are interested are free to contact their local Early Years Team with any enquiries.  There can be flexibility of venues for parents who are keen to attend a course in a different area and are able / willing to travel.

For further information or to make enquiries about parent courses please contact the Early Years Specialist teaching Team or your Early Support Coordinator
