Changes in carer's benefits rules

Changes in carer's benefits rules will help more families with disabled children

Blue Badge Reform

The government is consulting on improving the Blue Badge (Disabled Parking) Scheme in England. In particular, the proposals are about improving the enforcement regime where Blue Badges are used fraudulently; extending the eligibility criteria; and funding to help local authorities to establish independent medical assessments.
The consultation closes on 2 July 2010.

Summer Fun


Family Voice Peterborough are a voluntary community group that actively seeks to improve services in all areas of the lives of children and young people with disabilities or additional needs.

They are organising 6 fantastic family day trips for the summer. Dates as follows:

Friends in the Fens Coffee Mornings


If you'd like to find out more about a new parent support group for families of children with a special educational need being set up in the Fens, come along to a Friends in the Fens Coffee Morning, dates as follows:

Priory Group: ASD Athletics & Games Day – Brighton Area

The Priory Group are organising an ASD Athletics and Games Day on 9th June 2010 which is free to attend as a participant or supporter.  The event is taking place at the Withdean Stadium, Withdean Sports Complex, Tongdean Lane, Withdean, Brighton, BN1 5JD and will run from 10am to 4pm.  Please bring along your own lunch and beverages.
