Over many years talking and working with parents, young people and adults on the autism spectrum, it’s often surprised me how many parents of and those working with diagnosed children and adults don’t realize autism often, if not always, is associated with important sensory differences. The idea that they may have very different sensory experiences isn’t even considered. People often have no idea how recognizing this can be a crucial step to improving all lives lived on and around the autistic spectrum.
Regional Voices, a strategic Partner to the Department of Health has organised a consultation event to discuss the implications and impact of the changes proposed in the Health White Paper. The East event will be held at Over Community Centre, Over near Cambridge on Friday 24th September. If you would like to attend this event please contact Janice Mossey, Administration at COVER on 01799 532884 or Janice.mossey@cover-east.org
